This is my tall project which I made on the wheel. By accident it had somehow got a chip in it so I decided to create more chips and cracks in it to create more of an antique look. I glazed the cracks with a dark mystery blue color along with the bottom third of the cylinder, as I also glazed the top two thirds white. The art element expressed is color and contrast and emphasis is the main design element expressed. This cylinder gives off a subtle spooky feel.

This is my large wheel project in which I made a large bowl. I also glazed it with the teal color and used a sponge to lightly make little splotches inside the bowl with clear cobalt blue and mystery blue mixed together. The art elements expressed in this project are color and form. The design element expressed is texture with the little ridges throughout the bowl. This project gives off a fun and soft feeling. These are my first two bowls. They were done by being thrown on the wheel and glazed in half dark green and half dark blue. The art elements expressed in these bowls are color and contrast, whereas the design element expressed is emphasis on the two colors. These bowls express a calm feeling. |
